A lot of students find it hard to manage waking up earlier than their lectures to eat breakfast and get ready for the day. Most of them skip breakfast at home and buy something to have before heading on campus. But if you're a fellow pastry enthusiast or simply someone who loves sweets, you've come to the right place. Coventry, with its rich cultural tapestry and vibrant community, boasts an array of delightful bakeries that cater to every craving and preference. 



1. Bake Delights: 6 King William St, Coventry CV1 5JD.

Open 9am-9pm Monday to Sunday.

Providing pastries, cakes, breakfast. From flaky croissants and buttery danishes to crusty artisan loaves, there's something to satisfy every craving. Indulge in a warm, freshly baked pastry paired with a steaming cup of coffee for the perfect start to your day.



2. St. Ives Pasty Bakery: 1 Cross Cheaping, Coventry CV1 1HF

Open Monday-Saturday 8am-7pm, Sunday 10am-4pm

If you are craving something that doesn’t have chocolate or sugar on it, this place is for you!

A massive menu for everyone’s likings. Different type of sausage rolls, baguettes, sandwiches and even pizzas. Including vegan options as well, in the heart of Coventry.



3. Greggs: Lots of locations in Coventry

Open Monday-Saturday 7am-6:30pm, Sunday 7:30am-5pm

Providing a range of baked products from sweets to savoury products for everyone to choose from. Options for cold or hot food included.

A list of sausage rolls (vegan option included), cheese and onion bake, steak bake (vegan option included) to donuts (chocolate or not) there’s a lot to choose from.



4. Tegtat Turkish bakery and Café: 113 Gosford St, Coventry CV1 5DL

Turkish bakeries are well known for their pastries and savoury bakes, if you like an international taste, that place is for you!

Handmade Turkish coffee, fresh bakes, a range of breakfast plate options, salads, deserts like the famous Sebastian cheesecake from Istanbul, baklava or trilece.



5. Creams Coventry: 1 Swanswell St, Coventry CV1 5FZ

Even for late cravings, Creams open until 11am -12 pm daily.

If you like sweets, they provide a big menu to choose from.

Including waffles, crepes, cookie doughs, new loaded shakes, gelato and vegan desserts.



Students will not need to spend a fortune while craving something sweet or savoury to eat for breakfast or not.
