Getting involved in university sports

By ResidenceLifeAssistant 22 Jan 2024

Making new friends in university plays a big part in settling into the new environment, especially if you are an international student. Most of the universities in the UK have their own sports team and Coventry University has its own teams too! If you are interested in joining one of them, this article is for you.

Personal experience being part of Team Phoenix

I was part of Team Phoenix as a member of the girl's volleyball team. It was a great experience as my teammates were very friendly and made me feel part of the team. Speaking a little bit about my journey that led me to Team Phoenix, I was 'recruited' during the open day and was asked to play during one of the volleyball team trials. The trial went smoothly and I was selected to become a member.

As part of Team phoenix, I had loads of benefits such as access to exercise rehabilitation, nutrition workshops organised by Team Phoenix and much more. I will never regret my decision to be part of Team Phoenix.
