Fun things to do on April Rainy Days
It's that time of year when showers will be constantly gracing us with it's presence. It's know as 'April Showers' in the UK. Instead of being a glum chum about it, embrace the activities you can do indoors in the comfort of your own household or student accommodation.
Here are some fun indoor activities you can organise in a jiffy:
- Set up a Movie Marathon Extravaganza. Pick your favourite movie series (mine would definitely be Harry Potter!), grab your cosiest blankets & pillows and tuck yourself in for a magical transportation into the world of your favourite movie. Don't forget to grab the best snacks to enhance your experience.
- Host a games night! Take some time to either play online games with your best friends on the PS5/Xbox or hit it old school with traditional board games with your friends or families.
- Host a friendly (or competitive) cook/bake off with your loved ones! A bite of healthy competition that results in a feast never hurt anybody.
- Get creative and create DIY items for your accommodation or upcoming celebrations.
- Read that book you've been meaning to pick up but not had the time to.
- Turn your living room into a Fort for a nostalgic evening with your people.
However if you're fed up of being trapped in all day and want to get out and about, here as some suggestions (for students) on things to do around Coventry on those rainy days:
- Visit the Coventry Transport Museum. For a fun and dry day out visit the museum which has one of the largest collections of British Transport in the World! You can also experience breaking the worlds land speed record on its 4d Simulator: Coventry Transport Museum (transport-museum.com)
- Play a fun game of Crazy Golf at Teezers. With fun decorations and puzzling designs, you'll be sure to have a cracking time: Holding 2024 - Teezers Golf
- Visit Boom Battle Bar for the thrill of axe throwing. You can also play pool and order delicious food at the bar: Games Bar in Coventry | Boom Battle Bar
- Get in some retail therapy at the Lower Precinct centre: Lower Precinct - Coventry City Centre
- Visit and support small business for some yummy food on Far Gosford Street!
- FarGo Village | Fiercely independent creatives based in Coventry
See the rain as an excuse to stay in doors a little longer while the weather makes the shift to summer. And if the rain has stopped put on your wellies and go splash in some puddles!!!
