Our event highlights

We have a lot of great fun at our Reslife Events! In this blog I will be highlighting one of our Reslife events this week and discussing all the fun that was had!

This week on Monday 25th from 6pm at Bishop Gate we had Clay Modelling! I attended and worked this event but it was very popular with 10-15 students coming to get crafty and involved!

Be sure to check out our TikTok on this event!

The great thing about our Reslife events is the opportunity to make friends and meet new people. You can come along alone if you wish and there is always people to chat to. Our Reslife assistants are a friendly  point of contact and are always there with a smile ready to talk about whatever you wish!

At our clay modelling we had lots of people coming along from lots of different courses and accommodations. You can attend our events at any of our accommodations aslong as you are a FutureLets Resident.

So then it was time to get creative!

We had white air dry clay which everyone got some of and then we also had coloured clay in the middle to get creative with. There was also several clay modelling tools for people to use if they wished to do more intricate designs as well as water to join the clay together and pens if anyone wished to draw on their designs.

There was so many fun designs made! We had snowmen, pizza, christmas trees, snails, houses, pretzels, strawberries and so much more. Everyone had great fun bouncing ideas off eachother as well as using Pinterest for ideas.

Some people saw what we were doing and wanted to join or invited their friends too. We were listening to music, talking about old to shows we watched as children, got to know eachother and all around had a great time.

Some of the feedback included “ Thanks guys I had a great time and made some new friends”.

Our reslife events are a great opportunity for this. To meet new people, socialise and just get out there and do something new. Some people used the clay modelling time as a break from their assignments and then got back to work after. It is important to take breaks during deadline season and our events are a great way to do this.
