Hello, my lovely readers!!
As the year is about to end, I’m here to share a few activities I would love to do with my roomies. Living with flatmates isn’t just about sharing chores and fighting over fridge space - it’s also about making unforgettable memories together! I’ve put together a bucket list of must-do activities for my flatmates and me to tick off before we all go our separate ways.
1. The ultimate roomies big back behaviour
From street food stalls in the city centre (have you guys been there?) to our favorite local restaurants, we’re going on a mission to eat our way through the city, and make a list of our top eats and best recommendations - because what’s better than food and friends?
2. A road trip
A spontaneous getaway, even if it’s just to the next town over, is a must. I definitely wanna document our road trip snacks, car karaoke, and unexpected adventures.
3. The ‘Yes’ day challenge
For one whole day, we have to say ‘yes’ to whatever the group decides. This could lead to some seriously fun and unexpected experiences. Let’s just hope they don’t ask for anything ridiculous!
4. Flatmate-themed photoshoot
Matching outfits, ridiculous props, and a tripod—what could go wrong? We’ll pick a theme (90s? Movie characters? Pajama party?) and have a full-on photoshoot. The final shots are going on my Instagram for shooo.
5. Flat cinema night
We’ll turn our kitchen/living room into the coziest cinema ever with fairy lights, blankets, and an over-the-top snack bar. Not sure which genre we’re going for, but maybe we can try watching the worst movie for the funsies.
6. Sunrise/Sunset adventure
Whether it’s an early morning walk or an evening walk to a scenic spot, we’re setting aside time to watch the sun do its thing. I can’t lie tho, all my roommies wake up quite late, so it’s looking more like a sunset adventure.
7. Karaoke & Dance party
Nothing strengthens flatmate bonds like screaming our hearts out to classic bangers. We’ll put on Just Dance too – dw if you don’t have those PS4 or wherever you play it on, just pull up a YouTube video and follow that haha.
8. The flatmate's letter exchange
Before the year ends, I hope we can write each other letters. It could be full of reasons why we loved (or hated) living together, why we’re grateful for meeting each other along with some funny inside jokes, anything really! A letter is always so much more meaningful than just a text message after all.
This bucket list is our way of making the most of our time together. If you’re in a flat, grab your housemates and start planning! What’s on your must-do list before the year is over?
