Best places to go pumpkin picking around Coventry

Posted 1 week ago

For some Halloween fun!

Halloween is fast approaching and a really fun way to celebrate is to go pumpkin picking! It is something I like to do every year and is usually not too expensive and then you can come back and paint or carve them!

Pumpkins R US

This is the place I like to go every year. They do change venues but this year it is at the Dalla Burston Polo Club where it was last year. This is around a 30 minute drive but you can also get the bus.

There is lots of pumpkins and a great chance to get some pictures! There is also often fairground rides and a Halloween shop to get pumpkin carving tools and snacks and all other decorations.

Last year we got around 4 pumpkins for £10 so it was reasonably priced. You do need tickets so be sure to book in advance.

Below is a picture of me and my friend there last year.

The Pumpkin Place Wolston

This one is slightly closer and is just a 20 minute drive. You can also get the 86 bus from the university there. They have a wide range of choices of pumpkins at a range of prices.

They also have a Halloween maze as well as other activities going on so it is a great way to make a day out of it!

Tickets are also needed for this one and can be prebooked via their facebook page.

The Pumpkin Patch at Wolvey

This pumpkin patch even has tractor and trailer rides! As well as lots of different pumpkins to pick from in the fields and some great photo opportunities.

This is a 30 minute drive away or you can get the 74A bus from Coventry City Centre.

Tickets are available through their event brite link which you can find via their facebook.

Malt Kiln Farm Shop

This is a pick your own with pick your own options all throughout the season and currently its time for pumpkins! They also have squashes and sweetcorn available too!

They also have a lovely Farm shop to get some delicious treats and also a cafe with nice cakes and coffee.

They do allow walk in’s but these are availability permitting. Tickets can be booked through their website.

This is a 25 minute drive or a bus ride on the 85 from the university.

Our event

If you can’t make it to a pumpkin patch, we have our very own pumpkin carving event! This will take place on Halloween itself. We will provide the pumpkins just come along and get creative!
