Explore affordable activities around Cov!

City life can be a quite busy, due to causes such as hauling groceries and rushing to lectures. But in Coventry, there are many spots where you can reflect and unwind, or have a fun time with your mates! From cosy café spots to vibrant arcades, the city offers countless ways to brighten your day. Today I'll be exploring a handful of these spots that I've checked out myself!

Starpins

Starpins is an extremely local spot, located right outside West Orchards Shopping Centre. You can stroll in and instantly play some classic arcade games like Dance Dance Revolution, Air Hockey, Crane Games, Basket ball and many others! Or you can book from a variety of group games: Ten Pin Bowling, Ice-Free Curling, American Pool, Shuffle Board, Tech Darts, Mini Golf, Ping pong and virtual shooting. There's also food on offer, as well as soft and alcoholic beverages, so you're bound to find something you like!

T4

T4 is a lovely cosy boba and milkshake spot right outside of Primark, giving you an easy place to reach if you need to crash and take a breather. On my visit there, I tried out a more herbal drink called the 'Elegant Lady' and my friend tried the 'French Pudding Milk Tea' and both were wonderful! I am quite the regular there, and you can't beat their classic classic pearl milk tea. inside there are lots of different comfy spots to relax with plug sockets fitted around, meaning you could take in your laptop and have a little work space for an hour or two. If any of these flavours on the menu entice you, then I would really recommend checking it out!

Herbert Art Gallery & Museum

Currently, The Herbert Art Gallery is showcasing an exhibit called 'Collecting Coventry'.

Explore what we have in store through this fascinating exhibition packed full of objects and curiosities, from a 4.5 billion year old meteorite to a Covid testing kit."

I visited this exhibit, and a few more, with two of my friends and we had a really good time! It's really interesting to see what Coventry had to offer though the past hundreds and thousands of years. There's also a lot of fossils and taxidermy on display right now, and if you're into that kind of stuff it's worth the look! I'm much more into the fossils and old architecture. There's also always history about Godiva on display, and there's lots of silly ways to interact with the exhibits, like dressing up stations and drawing stations. And even better, it's all totally free! To see what's going on at the Gallery at any time of the year, check in on their 'What's On' page!
