How to Survive the Wait After Submission

You’ve done it. You’ve submitted the assignment, clicked that glorious “Submit” button, possibly whispered a prayer to the Wi-Fi gods, and now… you wait.

But waiting for results? That’s a different kind of academic torture.

1. Don’t Refresh Aula Every 15 Minutes. We Beg You.

We get it. Aula is right there. The temptation to check if your results are out can feel like checking your crush’s Insta stories—completely useless but somehow necessary for survival.

Tip: Set a “check day” and stick to it. No need to stalk your grades like it’s your ex’s Snapchat location.

2. Distract Yourself With Actual Fun

This is the perfect time to try all those things you said you’d do after your assignment but didn’t. Like:

• Learning to cook something other than pasta.
• Beating your flatmates at pool or ping pong in the common room (trash talk encouraged).
• Bingeing that one Netflix show everyone was quoting during deadline week.

Bonus: You might even find something you gasp enjoy.

3. Vent (Responsibly)

Grab a friend, a hot drink, and a comfy spot at The Hub or in your accommodation lounge. Now scream (not literally). Talk about the assignment. Overthink it. Then stop.

4. Hit Up a ResLife Event

5. Remember: Your Grade Is Not Your Worth

One more time for the people at the back: Your grade does not define you. Whether you get a 1st or something more... "humbling," you’re still that smart, creative, hard-working legend who made it through the submission season.

And guess what? You’ll do even better next time.
