Why I love sport at Coventry University

Being a younger brother of 5 is as challenging as it sounds, but it had its perks. You get playmates, from really young age I was introduced to competitive sport, started watching premier league when I was 3, and have fallen in love with it since. When I was growing the only thing in my mind was to watch a game in a stadium and be a part of the Premier League. To pursue my dream I came to the great student city, Coventry.

Best decision I’ve made in a long time. Great course leader, world class support staff and facilities.

The thing I most enjoyed was the modules, particularly the project management module, where our assessment was to organise a charity fundraising event. That was probably one of the best memories of my life. We were group of five, we divided the responsibilities and organised a football tournament.

We were so proud as we managed to get 72 sign ups for the event, and also were able to accumulate some souvenirs and memorabilia for raffles – one of them was James Maddison’s signed boot!

So my advice to new students would be...

Choose the course you love, and the important stuff is to make friends and surround you with the right people. You will have the time of your life in one of the greatest student city in world!
