That's why it's important that every student, no matter your race, disability, sexual orientation, religion or identity, feels safe.
We want you to feel as happy and supported as possible and that's why we're encouraging you to get reach out to people if you feel the opposite.
What is a hate crime?
Hate crimes are targeted at a person purely because of prejudice or discrimination because of their disability, ethnicity, religion, faith or belief, sexual orientation or transgender identity.
If you're ever a victim of a hate crime, have witnessed hate crime or know someone who has been affected by it - you have a few options:
- Speak to Student Services at CU about what has happened - they are very understanding and will help you as much as they can.
- Call the Police on 101 or 999 if it's an emergency or report it online

- Victim Support offer 24/7 support online or call their support line on 08 08 16 89 111
