A city that does it all

In Coventry, there are areas of tranquillity as well as areas with lots of hustle and bustle. This means that it caters to anyone and everyone; Places to suit any mood and any want. The city having both Coventry University and University of Warwick means that there is a large student population scattered throughout the readily available student accommodations and student housing, this creates a very social atmosphere amongst students, both in and out of university.

With the city being mostly student occupied, there are plenty of study-friendly areas, including Coventry University Library and various Cafes. The city centre is very close to the University campus which allows for you to finish classes for the day then have a recuperating wander around the centre, grab some food, do some shopping, have a browse of clothes.

Transport 🚌

Along with this transport within Coventry is very good, buses travelling wherever you may need at a cheap rate so anytime you fancy a trip out, there is most likely a bus that can take you. There is also the train station which has many trains, one of which leads to Birmingham rather quick which has a network of trains that travel almost anywhere you can think of within the UK. This is good for student who maybe come from further away but want an ability to travel home with ease.

Days and nights out đŸĒŠ

Days out can include anything from a picnic in the park to a walk around the shops in the city centre. As mentioned before, Coventry has it ALL. Fargo Village holds many markets and festivals throughout the year so if that is your thing, keep an eye out. There are different museums like The Herbert Art Gallery & Museum and The Transport Museum.

On the opposite side of the spectrum, nights out can include anything from a bingo night to a Taylor Swift tribute artist. With Coventry being such a student-led city, there are many budget student-friendly places to go for a fun night out. The university itself and ResLife hold certain events as well as societies having their own social events for whomever joins to go to.

Multicultural foods đŸĨ˜

No matter where you come from there is most likely a taste of home. There are many restaurants and takeaways dotted around Coventry that provide food from all-over the world as well as Fargo village occasionally having various food stalls. This means that for those who come from afar can still have a reminder of home through cuisine, even if they cannot cook it themselves or just fancy a little trip.

Spends 💰

Despite all this information, it does not have the high prices like London or Birmingham so is more liveable, especially for students who wants city life but cannot afford larger cities. There are PLENTY of student deals on almost anything you can think of including but not limited to takeaways of various kinds, drinks at certain bars, pubs and clubs.

Rent for accommodations are rather good price-wise especially with the FutureLets umbrella that have bills included in the rent that is timed along with student finance payments to create ease for students to pay.
