All-inclusive pricing
Whatever type of room you pick, your rent includes heating, lighting, water bills, and contents insurance! So no surprise utility costs on top of the rent.
Securing your room (Advance Licence Fee)
To lock in your accommodation, you must pay a £90 Advance Licence Fee. This isn't an extra charge, it counts directly towards your final rent bill. For international students, the £90 payment plus your first rent instalment must be paid before you arrive.
Payment options
You have flexibility in how you settle your rent:
- Pay in full as one lump sum.
- Or spread the cost via 2 or 3 instalments, whichever suits you better.
Instalment dates (September 2025–26)
If you choose the three‑part plan, here’s how it breaks down:
UK & EU students
- Booking (on booking): £90 Advance Licence Fee
- Instalment 1 - 3 October 2025: 1/3 of rent
- Instalment 2 - 20 January 2026: 1/3 of rent
- Instalment 3 - 14 April 2026: Final 1/3 of rent minus the £90 already paid
International students
- On Booking: £90 plus 1/3 of rent
- 20 January 2026: Second 1/3
- 14 April 2026: Final 1/3 minus the £90 Advance Fee
Other start dates
Coventry also offers January and May start contracts with similar 3 instalment schemes. Check the application for exact dates and breakdowns.
How to pay
The university has partnered with Convera GlobalPay, making it easy and cost-effective to pay your accommodation fees, whether you're paying via card or bank transfer. This is especially helpful for international students.
